In-Kind was a mobile one-to-one performance, housed in an old military ambulance that emerged from a year-long research process with long-term carers who live in Islington.
During a bitterly cold February the vehicle parked at different locations, taking the voice of the hidden carer out into public space, and was experienced by carers, health professionals, Jeremy Corbyn and the general public. One audience member said: "It's not a day in the life of a carer, but the life in the day of a carer".
Made by artist Sarah Cole (sarah-cole.co.uk), produced by Rachel Anderson, and commissioned by AIR (Anna Hart and Tilly Fowler) and Islington Council. The performer is Erika Poole and this video was made by Karl Cresser.
