A montage video of neo-cyber punk, mobile spoken word performances by Alexis Milne using a hoverboard, exploring the link between William Burroughs' surreal sci-fi cut-up writing in his Nova Trilogy and Iggy Pop's iconic punk anthem, Lust For Life, which appropriates/samples sections from the Burroughs novel, The Ticket That Exploded. 'Hypnotising Chickens' is part of a series of performances entitled 'Scrabulous Anomaly in the Re-Write Department' which draws on dystopian science fiction writing such as J G Ballard's Drowned World and William Gibson's Neuromancer. Sections of the text are reconfigured in spoken word and animated through performance actions, video installation and performed to a live soundscape using a loop station and noise collaborators such as noise violinist Liam Noonan. The performances are often made in collaboration with other artists and musicians and began with 'Circuits in the Flesh' a collaboration with Andrew Sunderland, MBJ Wetware and Tex Royale.
