Annette Christene Beaudreau
July 29, 1970 – October 17, 2016
Annette was born on July 29, 1970 in Halifax, NS, to Bill & Helen Graham. She graduated from Dalhousie University in 1992 with a degree in Recreation. In 1995, her friend Kori Inkpen convinced Annette to get into her car and drive from the East Coast to the West Coast of Canada. The original plan was to stay in Vancouver for one year. In the summer of 1996, after agreeing to fill a spare position on a baseball team, Annette met Brad Beaudreau. Three years later, on August 7, 1999, they were married in Dartmouth, NS.
In 1998, Annette & Brad moved to West Kelowna. She was hired by the RDCO, and worked in several positions until she became the Manager of Recreation and Culture for the City of West Kelowna, BC.
On May 2, 2001 her son, Alex was born, and on April 16, 2003 Brad & Annette welcomed daughter Jillian. It can easily be said that Annette’s children were the light of her life. Annette was involved in a vast number of sports, committees, community plans and events. Her happiest moments were the times she spent with her family and friends. Annette enjoyed the outdoors, camping and attending her children’s events.
Annette will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Brad, her son, Alex and daughter, Jillian of West Kelowna; her parents, Bill & Helen Graham of Three Fathom Harbour, NS; her brother, Brent (Bonnie) from Dartmouth, NS; her father & mother-in law, Bob & Sherry Beaudreau of West Kelowna; and her brother-in-law, Derek (Olivia) Beaudreau of Calgary, AB. Annette will be missed by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Donations in Annette’s memory can be made to the BC Cancer Society or to the Canadian Red Cross or a charity of your choice.
