This shows a section of Lolo Pass Road that has been wiped out completely by another round of flooding of the Sandy River.
This site is about 1/4 mile upstream of the junction of Barlow Trail Rd & Lolo Pass Rd. Approximately 150 yards of road is missing at this location.
Downstream from this location another 1/4 mile of road was destroyed when the river flowed down it all the way to the Sandy River Bridge.
In addition, the Zigzag River bridge located about a mile down from this site was closed by the county because it has been under cut again.
I would estimate that over 100 people live above this washout with no other road access to their homes. I am not clear on the extend of damage to homes. No one I know who lives above the washout had damage to their home itself.
