Adi and Brock helped Very Nice Industries shoot a test with our RED camera and our Nikon lenses.
We shot mostly in 4k 16x9 and the slomo stuff in 2k 16x9 at 100fps.
For post I edited the _M 4k proxies and the _H 2k proxies so everything was the same size in the timeline which was set to the REDCODE codec.
From FCP I exported an XML (v4) to Crimson Workflow where I matched to the original 2 and 4k R3D files, created a cowboy intermediate, then exported XML for REDCine.
I used REDCine to resize the 4k shots to 2k and color correct everything. The I rendered the individual shots as 2k 16x9 ProRes HQ.
I created a roundtrip XML in Crimson and finished the final render in FCP as 2k 16x9.
I have to say it was a pretty flawless process from beginning to end.
