Boydstown, WI – On Saturday October 26, 2016, a young woman traveling on Hwy. 60 eastbound towards Boscobel when the vehicle went off the road, down a steep embankment, into the Wisconsin River backwaters. Initially only the car's front end was in the river, but after rescue workers retrieved the woman from the car, the car went completely under water. At this time, it is not known what caused the accident.
The woman was taken to the hospital, but her injuries were not considered life-threatening. A Wauzeka Fire and Rescue diver attached a chain to the car and the vehicle was able to be removed from the river. mwnews.net
