In March 2011, an exhibition featuring the work of California sculptor John Frame opened at The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. Filmmaker Johnny Coffeen explores the artist’s process, aesthetic philosophies and transition to stop-motion animation filmmaking. It is presented in the exhibition alongside Frame’s own film, which features his handmade characters. Frame's house, as it appears in the film, is largely the work of his own hands.
Johnny's currently in pre-production for his David Lynch Film School Master's thesis film "iDream" about an inventor who programs his ex-wife into his dreams. In order to make the project a reality, he has to raise $5,000 by April 2015. Anything you can donate will surely help (and please spread the word)! Even if all you can do is forward this message to other people who might be interested or post the following link on your Facebook page, that would be greatly appreciated: paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=8L2DNMJF9EW2L
