American Horror Story – Season 6
The launch of Season 6 of American Horror Story, was marked by a "blackout” campaign. In an effort to create mystery around the true plot and themes of the new season, the campaign consisted of a massive amount of horror-themed misdirects tagged with the message "?6" or "What is Season 6?"
This “Anthology” spot was the hero of a campaign of 28 unique promos and IDs teasing the upcoming season. The concept was to take us through the iconic artwork from the first five seasons, and barrage the audience with a number of our 28 misdirection pieces reinforcing the question: What is Season 6?
We put this concept out to multiple CG/design vendors, and One Size came back with a great exploration which would serve as the foundation of the spot. We enlisted the help of editorial agency mOcean for the timing and sound design, and Method Design NY produced the fantastic end graphics in the woods – part of yet another stand along ID they produced in the campaign.
