Close to 3,400 still frames captured with a Canon EOS 20D and 70-200 f/2.8 ranging from 1/1000 sec to 30 seconds at intervals ranging from 2 seconds to fifteen minutes depending on the forecast and time of day. Color temp locked at 5200K.
Extra-long matte box built out of a baby formula box to eliminate glare and reflections through the basement window.

One day with temperatures well above freezing.
720p 3:2 full-frame and 1080p 16:9 close-up matte/letterboxer animation in Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, then combined and re-rendered as a layered animation again in PSCS5E.
Lifesigns audio track created from a still frame with Photosounder. Piano, Bass, Vibraphone track created in RGB MusicLab. Wind, chimes, & ambient captured with Olympus LS-11. Tracks mixed down in Adobe Soundbooth CS5.
Final render with audio track, open/close credits in iMovie.
