Alan Villiers (1903-82) was an Australian-born author, adventurer, photographer and mariner. 'Sons of Sinbad' documents Villiers's voyage on a traditional Arabic sail ship named 'Triumph of Righteousness' through the Middle East, the Persian Gulf and East Africa, taking in Mombasa, Lamu, Zanzibar, Oman, Kuwait and Muscat along the way. Scenes include fishing, pearl fishing, local port life, plus life at sea working a traditional Arabic sail ship.
