Recently, The National CML Society’s founder and director, Greg Stephens, had the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Michael Mauro, a CML Specialist from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Dr Mauro has been involved in the CML Community from the days of the first STI-571 (Gleevec ) trials, working alongside Dr. Brian Druker, facilitating the early trials for this revolutionary drug.
This video interview discusses things one should consider when diagnosed with CML, such as learning about the disease, asking questions, and becoming an engaged participant in their care. Additionally, the interview discusses side-effects and their management.
The Society is proud to have Dr. Mauro as one of our medical advisors and we hope that you enjoy this brief interview.
