Valeria Nicolosi is ERC Research Professor at the School of Chemistry and at the School of Physics, Trinity College Dublin. Her group conducts interdisciplinary research on the processing and cutting-edge electron microscopy characterisation of low-dimensional nanomaterials, including graphene, other two-dimensional inorganic materials, nanotubes and nanowires. She has been awarded two consecutive ERC grants: Starting Grant in 2011 and Consolidator Grant in 2015. She also applied for and received three Proof of Concept grants, top-up funding to bring results of frontier research closer to the market.
In this video Prof. Nicolosi shares her advice for future ERC applicants.
