Responding to the compositional and aesthetic qualities of abstract expressionism and cameraless animation, All Rot uses photographic reanimation to render the mundane environment of a decaying crazy golf course into a rapturous split-screen experiment in synaesthetic cinema.
The 7th Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film, Video & Music Festival (KLEX) is back with its seventh edition, “KLEX 2016: SPARK”, 24-27th November 2016! The festival includes: KLEX open programmes, international guest programmes, non-camera film workshop, artists lectures and music and audio-visual performances. This year, the festival events will take place at several artist-run independent art spaces: Lostgens’ Contemporary Artspace, Findars and Da Huang Pictures. KLEX 2016 is made possible with the support of the above-mentioned venues, and from the Goethe-Institut Malaysia, Next New Wave and the Korean Association of Film Education (KAFE).
