Miso is my 1 yr old Bulldog. She is 1/2 Olde English bull dog 1/2 Shorty bull dog. Miso's story starts in 2010 way before she was even conceived. My beautiful Bulldog Shin started this journey for us. Shin was a big girl, 85 lbs of 1/2 English 1/2 American bulldog. She was a strong girl with a personality to match. While on vacation in 2014 Shin blew out both her knees and after many vet consults it was discovered that she also had hip dysplasia. We made the horrifying decision to put her down because the outlook was not good and we were unaware of stem cell therapy at that time. It was a devastating loss to both me and my husband.
This is where Miso's story begins:
July of 2015 Miso is born and I see this little black beauty that I just had to have, her face reminded me of Shin. Miso comes home to us and we fight thru many health issues the first few months, Parvo being one and she survived. She is a fighter that's for sure.
So at 1 yr old I decide to have her X-rayed all over to check and make sure her bone structure was sound, I didn't not want to ever experience again what I did with Shin. Well it came back that Miso has hip dysplasia and I was devastated again.
I started doing my research and I came across MediVet and Stem Cell Technology and decided that would be our best course of action for Miso , I found Dr. Newland in Scottsdale Arizona and made our appointment.
Miso has bad hips but is not displaying any signs of trouble yet but I wanted to be pro active and start therapy now to prevent any problems in the future. Dr Newland retrieved 1.1 billion Stem Cells from Miso and Injected her hips and we were able to bank 7 more vials for future use if needed. Miso received her Stem Cells on Sept 1, 2016 and is doing very well. I don't have before and after because it has not been long enough yet to see any changes. We will be doing new X-rays every 6 months to a year to follow her progress but I have high hopes that she will be A-OK!
Miso is my service dog and my little angel! I can not imagine my world without her in it. She brings me such peace and enjoyment everyday and I am so very thankful for MediVet and Dr. Newland for fixing her right up!
