WordCamp Phoenix GPL Debate

WordCamp Phoenix 2011 kicked off with a live debate on a hypothetical GPL court case. Each student will be presenting closing arguments.

Gabe is representing TermSmash, the plaintiff in the case.

Darren is representing Conclusion, the defendant.

Conclusion used a piece of TermSmash code to make their product compatible with TermSmash. TermSmash's code has a GPL and as such they are suing to make Conclusion's product license use the same conditions.
