The Macaronesian Sparrowhawk or fura-bardos is notoriously difficult to spot – making it one of the most fascinating endemic species of the group of archipelagos to which it lends its name. Not much is known about this diurnal raptor that inhabits the island of Madeira and five islands of the archipelago of the Canaries.
In the last 3 years we've worked so hard to save this amazing habitat that is the Laurel Forest (life-furabardos.spea.pt/), but 2017 is the end of the project and there are so much to do... The firewood of 2016 destroyed houses and forest and the chalenges became harder. We need more time, we need you to extend the positive impact.
We started this journey in 2013 and now, your help is needed to keep this project alive.
Please help to secure the future of fura-bardos and the Laurel forest.
