Camp CanDo is a nonprofit summer camp for kids with cancer (in treatment or in remission). This very fun and safe camp is offered free of charge to campers usually during the first two weeks of August at Gretna Glen in central PA. There is also a sibling camp offered each June. Staff includes volunteer medical professionals (doctors and nurses) as well as counselors who were once cancer patients. In this video campers explain what camp means to them. Camp CanDo started under the auspices of the American Cancer Society, but since 2014 has been an independent 501c organization.
