User feedback and insights can be invaluable to the success of your product. However, when you’re running tight on time and resources, it may seem difficult to justify conducting research to inform your product decisions.
In Monal's talk, she will provide you with key principles for conducting Guerrilla Research, a lean, low-cost research method that allows you to get some quick-and-dirty user feedback on your product. When done well it can help you quickly evaluate aspects of your product direction and design, as well as gain a pulse of the overall UX, so you can make product decisions with more confidence.
Monal Chokshi is currently the Head of UX Research at Lyft.
A UX professional for almost 20 years, Monal has worked as a UX Researcher, Designer, and Manager. She began her career at Trilogy and various other startups during the dot-com era. She then spent over four years as a UX Researcher at Yahoo!, and more recently, she’s built and led UX teams at Intuit, SoundCloud, and now, Lyft.
Monal has a B.S. from Stanford in Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction and an M.S. from UCSD in Cognitive Science, where she focused on the use of ethnographic methods to inform the design of technology.
