Trailer of 'Rocinante! Rocinante!' (work-in-progress)
A surreal poetic tale inspired by Don Quixote and Hamlet devised by Panta Rei Theatre and directed by Chiara D’Anna.
'Rocinante! Rocinante!' is the practical outcome of a two-years research project on theatre, visual arts, music and psychiatry that aims to develop and deepen our understanding of mental illness through the study of specific cases of delusional behaviours and distorted perception of reality.
This trailer documents the creation of the piece and its transformation throughout the years. 'Rocinante! Rocinante!' was performed in two occasions: at the Rose Bruford College’s Symposium in April 2011 and at the Holloway Arts Festival in July 2011.
The project was developed in collaboration with Dr Zerrin Atakan from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College, Dr Nick Troop from the Performance Psychology Lab, University of Hertfordshire, Rose Bruford College and London Metropolitan University,.
