This is a Quartz Composer composition that uses an animated image sequence to appear as if it is painting on and decaying in real time. It uses the music amplitude to drive the color of each particle and the flapping wings, as well as the cloud textures in the foreground. I just have the bird and emitters following a sin wave pattern for now. The goal is to have it emit in real time via Kinect interaction.
I used streaming itunes music radio as my audio source, hence the low frequency hum and the cut from Sara McClauchlan. My apologies:)
