Testing out a multitouch surface created by John Park, who used an acrylic plastic sheet and four IR lasers. I am reading the IR light through a PS3 camera, which is fed into CCV (Community Core Vision). From there, I send OSC messages to OSCulator, which is turn routed to Max/MSP. There is a constant tempo runnning in the background across a 'matrixctrl' object which is used to toggle the playback of sound files.
The physical surface needs some work, as noise exists at two of the corners which does not create an even sensor field and limits the space on the screen used for the interface. Overall, I'm impressed by CCV's calibration feature and integration of OSC into its protocol list.
