In this "Little Stones" bonus video, American fashion designer Anna Taylor visits jewelry designer Sammy Semat in Kona Baridi, outside Nairobi, Kenya. Anna meets Jane Naisimoi, a woman in the Maasai community, and founder of the women's jewelry co-op Olonana Women's Group. Jane is a survivor of domestic violence, and in this video, she explains why many women stay in violent homes; because they don’t have a way to economically support themselves or their children without their husband. Economic expert Jeni Klugman (World Bank Group) explains that many poor women in the developing world need access to export markets to find stable economic opportunities outside their local communities.
