Remembering 1916 – Life on the Western Front, Whitgift’s major First World War exhibition, is dedicated to the 252 staff and boys who attended the School, but who sadly lost their lives in the conflict.
The Exhibition was opened, on 10 March, by Guest of Honour, Professor Margaret MacMillan, Professor of International History at the University of Oxford.
The Exhibition has been featured on ITV and BBC TV, BBC Radio, including live on the Today programme, and in a wide range of national newspapers. So far it has welcomed over 24,000 visitors, including 6,000 schoolchildren, and attracted critical acclaim from historians, specialists and members of the public alike. The closing date is 16 April 2017.
