This is the story of a small neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles.
It was created in the 1950’s on the concept of an integrated housing cooperative by a group of friends that included Garrett Eckbo who is now widely considered the father of modern landscape design.
The film tells of the history of the neighborhood and the people that lived here through interviews with former and current residents; People who were optimistic for social change and embraced religious ethnic and racial integration and were open to new concepts in design and architecture. And tells of a tight knit community with some of the city’s most interesting and influential characters.
