Cas Holman is a designer focused on empowering children through free play. The ideal toy, Cas believes, should be as constructive as it is intuitive—and this is the spirit that inspired her to conceive of Rigamajig, a large scale building kit developed with Friends of the High Line.
Design in Practice: Cas Holman is one of a four-part series presented by A/D/O and premiered at the Architecture and Design Film Festival. Watch the full documentary series at a-d-o.com/adff.
A/D/O is a new design space opening in Greenpoint, Brooklyn later this year. The 23,000 square-foot former warehouse, designed by nARCHITECTS, will feature a world-class restaurant, prototyping studio, open workspace, design store and in-house accelerator in addition to its professional programs. Built for designers yet open to all, A/D/O will aim to surface and showcase great design, cultivating an environment that becomes a prolific source of new ideas for the future.
