To every one of you on Team Jesus: we draw close to Jesus our Coach. We let Him guide us and help us become a better version of ourselves, a better team player. We ask Him to impart Holy Spirit upon us more powerfully to upgrade our skills as an intentional disciple, to make us a better, more skilled, and devoted player on His team. We meditate on His Word in the Scriptures; make our home in the Word and let it transform us and direct us. We listen to His encouraging words and let them build us up and send us forth with confidence, not in ourselves but in what He can do for us and through everybody.
As we continue in "the game", the mission Jesus entrusted to us is attentive to the encouraging cheers of the angels and the cloud of witnesses who were on Team Jesus in years past and now cheer us from heaven. We know that Coach Jesus is always with us; He is for us; and has our best interests at heart. At times the discipline we have to endure may not seem pleasant, but the end result is that we become a better, more devoted disciple and team player.
Team Jesus: your team and mine! Alleluia!
