A Return to Nepal - Episode 1: The Balephi

Luke Partridge and Jamie Greenhalgh return to one of their favourite White water kayaking destinations on the planet, Nepal.

This time with a big objective in mind, the mighty Humla Karnali!

Follow this series of episodes as they prepare for their expedition and tag along on some of the best whitewater in the world!

In this episode we head to our favourite warm up river, the Balephi Khola.

The Balephi is only a few hours from Kathmandu and has a guest house right out the take out. Fairly regular buses to the put on town mean that you can do a couple of laps in a day. Once you are done on the Balephi, you can either return to Kathmandu, or carry on to the town of Barabise to one of our favourite rivers, the mighty Bhote Koshi...
