“Over winter break, several changes will be taking place at Mount Si High School to make way for construction in the months ahead. The front parking lot, school bus lane and main entrance to the school will be closed off and relocated to the back of the school. Please pay close attention to our new transportation and parking options so we can have a safe and hassle free transition.”
“The new bus loading/unloading zone will be along Schusman Avenue. We will establish a path for students to walk down the avenue and a “Walk Plaza” to get through the parking lot to the new main entrance by the gazebo. The current bus line up information can be found on the Mount Si website or on the back of our parking map.
“Students that used to park in the front lot will now use the new temporary gravel lot behind the shop and CTE wing. Please enter the lot off Meadowbrook Way. Then before school students can enter the building through either of the near by entrances. Once school begins, students will need to enter the building at the main entrance by the gazebo.”
“For parents or community members who visit the school, please keep in mind that the new main entrance to the school will be accessible from Schusman Avenue, near the gazebo, starting January of 2017. This will be the most direct way to the office, and where all visitors must sign in. Visitors will use the new visitor parking area located next to the stadium.”
For students being picked up or dropped off by parents before school, the student drop off zone will be on Meadowbrook Way in front of the math wing. Parents, please make sure you are traveling southbound (toward the stop light) so that your student doesn’t have to cross the street. This will also be the after school Pick Up zone. If you are picking up or dropping off during the regular school day, please pull through the staff parking lot off Schusman Ave and enter the building through the new main entrance next to the Gazebo”
“Thanks to the Wildcat community and our neighbors for their patience, as we work to redirect traffic and access to the school. These changes are needed to ensure the safety of students and staff, and make way for the exciting construction ahead”
