What are funeral options for those who served?
Military Funeral Honors is a way to show the nation's deep gratitude to those who, in times of war and peace, have faithfully defended our country. Military units are required to provide, at a minimum, a two-person uniformed detail to present the core elements of the Funeral Honors ceremony. The core elements are the playing of “Taps,” flag folding, and flag presentation. Additional elements include rifle detail, honor guard, pallbearers, caisson, and military flyover. Funeral directors are familiar with Military Funeral Honors and can also assist families with military headstones/markers, the Presidential Memorial Certificate, a burial flag, and National Cemeteries.
