Edges is a group piece based on a reflection on the idea of ‘marginal and margin’ and its importance/relevance for the ‘total picture’, both in art and society. In Edges this reflection gets translated into a context of theatre and is made into a play that stages a group of ‘extras’ (background performers) at work. During the entire piece we don’t see the ‘main actors’ (one can imagine them if one wants to) but ‘only’ the movements, gestures and actions of the ‘corps de figurants’ who are, in contrast to most of the contemporary pieces, here performed by professional actors and dancers. In Edges IM continues working with the idea of (in)visibility, commitment, love; exploring notions of work ethics, migrations, collaboration and more.
