Cape St. Mary, on the southern shore of Newfoundland, CA is bound up in fog most of the time, but occasionally it clears long enough to visit the gannet colony there in June and July. A comfortable hike through grassy hillsides in the company of sheep gets you to a rocky promontory where, if your balance is good and your tripod isn't too wide, you can almost fly with the birds as you watch them through the viewfinder. I apologize for purloining the music for this one, but it was just SO perfect.
