Our Lord is familiar with storms. In Mark 4:35-41 Jesus quiets a storm, but not before allowing His disciples to enter into it. The King who entered into the greatest storm on our behalf allows His people to go through storms. However, during these times of suffering and pain, the King is present and reveals Himself. He allows storms to invade our lives to draw us closer to Him and to reveal Himself to us. If you are suffering today, know that Jesus is able to relate. He is sovereign over the storm and has good reason for allowing it to rain down upon your life. Trust the Lord in the storm and know that He has done something in history to one day put an end to all pain and suffering (Revelation 21:1-4). All storms will one day be quieted. Amen and amen!
