Sheriff's Deputies turned into holiday elves as they helped three generous community members hand out $15,000 in cash and gift cards to families in need all over the county. Operation Secret Santa was held on December 17th.
Deputies identified the families while working as School Resource Deputies or while on patrol in speaking to community members.
There are families struggling to pay rent or currently homeless. They also include single mothers not making enough money to support their families. Others are coping with the loss of a job or loved ones. There are also stories of family members dealing with medical issues and parents taking care of children diagnosed with autism, cancer and other health problems.
We want to thank the Secret Santas for their generous donation. We also want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
