No risk, no change offers a view in the daily life of Ou Virak. He's a 32 year-old Cambodian refugee who fled from Cambodia after his father was murdered by the Khmer Rouge. After four years of struggling in a Thai refugee camp, Virak and his family emigrated to the US. After successfully completing his studies in Economics, he took a one way ticket to Cambodia in the hope of being able to make a difference for his countrymen. Because his former boss was arrested, he unexpectedly rose to the position of director of the Cambodian Centre for Human Rights (CCHR) soon after his arrival. In the four years since, he has been fighting for the freedom of speech, freedom of the press and democracy in Cambodia. To achieve his goals he willingly sacrifices his personal safety. Though his mission might seem impossible, he continues his struggle relentlessly. Ou Virak proves to be a determined man with a clear mission.
In this inspiring portrait Ou Virak's urge for justice, his optimism and his passion for Cambodia are captured vividly.
