Early in 2010 three friends traveled to the heart of the Lesotho Highlands where one of the members met an amazing woman high up in the mountains.
She stays in a small remote village next to the Senqunyane River and is married to the village chief. Michiel took a picture of her and in 2011 we returned the picture to her.
This is no ordinary feat as the roads leading into this incredibly beautiful valley is completely destroyed by neglect and seasonal rains.
We filmed both events ourselves, taking lots of time out of traveling and often setting up our cameras to drive through the same scenery twice so we could film it.
Not only is this way of filming oneself pretty unique but it also gives a much deeper perspective of what we experienced and had to deal with on our ventures.
