Cham is a Buddhist "dance" typically performed after the New Year. Mongols practice Tibetan Buddhism in combination with indigenous shamanism and animism; the Cham demonstration shown here is performed by Mongolian "dancers". Cham rituals occur in Bhutan, Mongolia, and some Siberian republics.
