This site-specific performance for the camera was recorded at New Capital Projects in Chicago in 2012. The resulting 17-minute video is comprised of multiple episodes, including one sited immediately in front of the Metra train tracks, where a group of performers progresses slowly across the frame in poses inspired by hood ornaments. These interested me as still forms that propose to embody progress and high speed. The central performer stage fights with an absent opponent, or maybe himself.
Made and performed by Jose Hernandez, Ginger Krebs, Bryan Saner, Aurora Tabar and Sara Zalek.
