Exploring the perspectives of radio DJs, young, political activist-musicians and the politicians they are trying to influence, Voice of the Voiceless sits in on the trials and tribulations of the people of Freetown's everyday life. The film spans the studio- and home-made reggae, West-African pop and hip-hop Freetown's people love to move to.
Musicians' advocacy has a national outreach via the everyday radio, but such influence is beginning to attract corruption. Voice of the Voiceless sheds light on the murkier side of pop music and the rumours that money can buy musicians.
