Ever wonder what it's like to subsistence fish for halibut in British Columbia?
Slow, beautiful, and funny, this is a meditative visual experience drawing in a mile of halibut long line along the south end of Pitt Island, British Columbia.
We pulled in three halibut (200 lbs.), giant red snapper, ling cod, and a host of other Pacific fishes, which were cleaned and put in winter freezers for trading, sharing, and sustenance.
Featuring Trevor and Gerald Amos, and Colin Grant.
