Besides talking to somebody or checking e-mails, mobile devices offer many possibilities of usage. Different sensors such as GPS, a compass, a camera, WiFi, a gyroscope and NFC enable apps to collect information from the environment. With those data, which can be processed locally or on a server, additional information can be provided, e.g. where to find an accessible entrance to a building, or when does the next bus arrive?
A blind student and a physically impaired person explain their usage of a smart phone.
