I love watching people
I've been watching them from when I was very young
I watch them for a long while
ones I know
ones I don't know
I realized a long time ago
that we are all a curious bunch of strange creatures
and inside we hold "the fragile beauty of dichotomy"
(μια εὑθραστη ομορφιἁ διχοτομἱας διχοτὁμησης)

I love watching people - I know I said it earlier
and if you watch someone long enough
they will eventually let their guard fall
and their true colors would really shine
they would become vulnerable
they would become beautiful
they would become who they really are
even if just one moment

I love watching people - I know I said it twice before
but I especially love watching the ones
I don't necessarily agree with
the ones that bother me
especially the ones that piss me the F#@&k off
because if I hold on
give them a chance
and don't walk away
I'll see it
I'll see them
and In them I see a part of myself
a part that I like - or would like to see in me
a part that is still a sweet little kid
a part that still holds innocence

I love watching people - I know I've said it three times already but it's important that you listen
and I also realized a long time ago
that life is a wave
the steeper the low
the greater the high
the more I disagree
with everything you have to say for 20 minutes
and my blood boils
and I am about to loose my cool
the more the relief
when the moment comes when you let go of your shield
and show yourself to me
without realizing it
and then I am surprised
and almost embarrassed that I didn't expect it
and suddenly I understand you
and for that moment
I love you . . .

a film by Thomas S. Mihailos

for those that can't understand the classic "Brooklyn" dialect
subtitles will be available soon. . . . . .

dedicated to my brother from another mother
my childhood boy from back home
i love you
don't ever change
most people don't even have the balls to be "real"
and speak their minds
without keeping their senses "in check"

Thank you for making my trip back home a vacation away from myself . . . . from my own head . . . .
