"The Blue Trees" is an art installation that brings together environmental consciousness and social action. Public Art Chattanooga brought the artist, Konstantin Dimopoulos to Chattanooga for a six-week residency in which he engaged the community in a series of installations and events highlighting the importance of trees by coloring them a vibrant ultramarine blue. Organic and temporary, the artwork will gradually fade away over the course of a year. The artist completed 5 installations with the help of nearly 300 volunteers.
