This video is about the BFS Horizons Reading Challenge
Horizons at Brooklyn Friends School provides access, opportunity and guidance for low-income public school students to strengthen their joy of learning, to instill skills for success and to inspire them to realize their dreams.
Horizons at Brooklyn Friends School enrolls students from District 13 Public Schools PS 307, PS 67 and PS 8 in a six-week summer academic enrichment program and in the Brooklyn Friends school-year Afterschool Program. Now in our 10th year of operation, Horizons at BFS serves 135 students every summer. Learn more about Horizons here
The Horizons Reading Challenge is a lower school annual fundraising initiative for Horizons at BFS. Not only is the Horizons Reading Challenge a great way to support children in need, it is also a wonderful way to get children excited about reading as well as reinforce the aspect of service so central to the BFS mission.
