La Sposa di Carta (Paper bride), born on japanese butoh dance from which it takes energetic transformation work and slowness theme, investigate the relation between the dancer/actor performer, the different urban spaces and the audience’s emotionality he pass through.
The story is about a rose chained on a walking bride; her dress is made by paper only and every step she makes she become fragile like her dress is. Every breath brings her near the sky, each step near the earth. After a long path in which her body is animated only by intermittent tensions and memories, she reach a water place in which her body and dress together slowly melt down free the rose floating in fresh water.
By this performance the artist conceive the idea of “Urban Performing Relief” uniting his interesting in architecture, in urban sociology and his artistic path. He starts collaborating with photographers and video artists to relief, during his walking performances , audience’s reactions and relations between different urban spaces, in order to search elements for reading the contemporary cities by creating a video- photo-audio installation , like a diary of each city he pass through. Taking inspiration by the homonymous book of Isaac Joseph, he calls this project “ Le passant considerable” because he has no direct relation with people, but he only walks , makes his character passing through and provoking reactions .
