For the 2011 Autodesk Excellence in Design Competition, we were challenged to improve the world of an alien planet (the inhabitants call themselves iikos!) with many problems but no technology to fix them and who view it as being supernatural. We decided the best way to solve these problems was by inspiring the youth to innovate solutions themselves by educating them about Science and Technology through FIRST robotics.
