Bruce McNeil was one of the many players in the first two weeks since referees were told that there should be zero tolerance on high tackles. Bruce's high tackle brought him a second yellow card in the game against Glasgow Hawks which meant a red card. This was his comment after the game, as he warned of the dangers of over-policing the game to the extent of spoiling the full contact game of rugby. With so many yellow cards flying about now it is a concern that some players will go down the football route whereby certain players attempt to get opposition players put in the bin for 10 minutes, giving their team a big advantage. It will be interesting to see how things will pan out.
