Hunting For The Cure hosted Delaney and her family from Pennsylvania to White Plains, Georgia to enjoy the Great Outdoors. Delaney was diagnosed with DIPG and has been battling for over five years. While visiting we celebrated her "Sweet Sixteen" birthday and she was able to get out and do some deer hunting. Delaney was joined by her father, Brittney Glaze from Model Hunter and James Reid in the deer blind. Saturday morning with temperatures hovering in the teens the group self titled themselves the "Conservationist" cause they were having so much fun in the blind laughing no deer would come near. However, Saturday evening was a different story as multiple does entered the food plot to graze. Just before dark Delaney shot but no sign could be found indicating she had made a good hit. After approximately 45 minutes, the initial search was abandoned as temps dropped in the low teens. After reviewing the film footage a team returned to search again and after thirty minutes found Delaney's deer. Everyone was joking that she would have to place a toilet seat on the wall of fame if she missed and she took the prodding like a champ. However, when she went to pick her toilet seat out she notices her doe in the back of a ATV. Her expression is "EPIC" and is the reason HFTC does what it does. Sharing smiles with a child fighting cancer through the great outdoors.....It just don't get any better!
