I filmed this 6-minute video near islands in Papua New Guinea as part of my research for my Masters in Marine Biology. Symbiosis shows the scenes of fish crowding around anemones, waiting to be cleaned by hundreds of cleaner shrimp that live on the anemones. You will even get a glimpse of a massive client, a 4-foot barracuda, who I captured on video approaching the cleaning station. This movie illustrates how underwater video can be a key tool for data collection for marine research. Symbiosis aims to bring inspiration to adults and children, about the marine environment and the wonders of discovery in marine research.
