FumeFX as driver, Krakatoa particle(12mio) and voxel(1,2mio) render.

Map based smoke emission(animated electric map) off of a noise animated sphere that functions as collision object as well, negative wind in center with turbulence. Particle emission off of same object and map. Krakatoa emission and absorption global overrides make the shader. Omni light with fall off in center for internal hollow lighting. Some color variations in comp but first 2 renders are pretty much how it came out of Max minus the glow :)

Took like 3 hours to make mostly waiting on sims and caches LOL. Sim hits the grid a bit but i still like it.
