The increasing development of technology has spurred the interest mainly in how can keep up with the existing natural environment and which are, after all, the boundaries between artificial and natural. Today, technological objects are becoming more and more part of our everyday life mainly in the form of gadgets, from smart phones to smart homes. One of the main purposes of gadgets production is their consumption, ie their functions depend on how to attract more consumers. Robots and technological accessories possess a powerful position in the pyramid of consumption since they are considered as something new and although gradually becoming more and more part of everyday life, yet have not become integral part of it.
This project seeks to examine the relationship between natural and artificial, using as starting point the consumption trend in technological products, in an inverted perspective of the current situation. Having already gone from the borderline of the new digital era, technological gadgets considered as granted and almost everything have robotic features. The natural environment is a rarity and now is that which draws the most interest and becomes the center of consumption. In this hypothetical time, on one hand the natural has acquired a kind of museum character and on the other hand the artificial imitates the natural substance in order to continue exciting the consumers. This project portrays a room in which nothing is organically functional while at the same time nothing seems to be out of function.
